Equipment and protective systems intended to be used in a potentially explosive atmosphere, represent a wide range of products, including equipment used on offshore platforms, in petrochemical plants, mines, mills and other areas where a potentially explosive atmosphere may be present.
A potentially explosive atmosphere is composed by mixtures of air and gases, vapors, mists or flamable dusts, which may ignite under some operating conditions.
