This course focuses on the basic requirements of CEI EN 61511 to ensure the performance required for safe operation of industrial processes, i.e. independence, functionality, integrity, reliability, verifiability, security and change management, and covers the ‘Life Cycle’ of safety instrumented system development from the conception and requirements definition phases through to operation and support of the finished systems by

• Technological choices
• The design of safety instrumented systems
• Operations and maintenance including change control
