DESCRIPTION

 

The Directive applies to plants where dangerous substances listed in Annex I are present and contains the necessary guidelines to prevent major incidents and limit their consequences for human health and the environment. Although it does not substantially change the obligations of operators and the relative system of controls by the competent authorities, the new โ€˜Sevesoโ€™ legislation provides a series of obligations for operators of major incident risk facilities, including:
